Freedlight Software

About Our Principals

Kit has been studying electronics since 1965, and programming since 1968. In 1971, he finally found he could get paid for this, and went to work for Honeywell repairing mainframes as well as writing diagnostic software for them. After stints with Friden, TRW, Digital Equipment Corp, Data General, and National Semiconductor, he simultaneously moved to Atlanta and discovered the joy of working for little companies. In 1985, he helped found Freedlight Software, which immediately started doing hardware projects.

Kit studied audio engineering, electrical engineering, and physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Growing bored with the linearity of engineering studies, he transferred to Principia College near St. Louis, where he received a B.A. in Music Composition, studying with Reinhardt Ross, and minoring in philosophy and physics.

Kit has been on the Internet off and on since 1980. He spends his spare time reading, writing and performing music, thinking, (and spending inadequate time with his wife, Sarah - ed.)
